Scholarship Coverage:
Stanford University Scholarships provide the recipients with the following benefits:
- A travel stipend covering an economy-class ticket for one annual trip to and from Stanford.
- A stipend for living and academic expenses, including room and board, books, academic supplies, local transportation, and reasonable personal expenses.
- A fellowship applied directly to cover tuition and associated fees.
Note: The scholarship does not cover costs paid for by your home department at Stanford, such as subscriptions or lab equipment. Knight-Hennessy Scholars may also apply for supplemental funds to support academic endeavors, such as conference travel.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for Stanford University Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Required Languages: English
- Eligible Countries: All countries worldwide are encouraged to apply.
- First/Bachelor’s degree received in 2015 or later; apply within four years and enroll within five years after earning your first/bachelor’s degree.
- Mental sharpness, a thirst for knowledge, original ideas, ability to make sense of ambiguous situations, and a capacity for contrarian or dissenting points of view.
- Ambitious, driven to self-improvement, willing to take risks, self-aware, persistent, humble, kind, inclusive, respects differences, concerned for and helpful to others, and low ego.
- Fluency in English (TOEFL/IELTS/PTE required for non-native English speakers).
- Application to and acceptance by a full-time Stanford graduate degree program.
